I made these for babies room (which is definitely been a work in progress). You may remember that I had painted three Monkey Canvas' for the room if she had been a boy. I also had other decor items ready in boy/monkey theme, so I was a tiny bit unprepared when she was a girl. (not that we actually knew which gender we were having, it was just a hunch)
I did these the same way as I did the Woodland Canvas', a painted background with paper cut out and modpodged to the canvas (I do not own a cricut so for these canvas' as well as the woodland canvas' the images were all drawn out and cut out by me! I like to do things the 'old fashion' way, haha).
On the air balloon I did some stitching with the sewing machine as well as hand wove the basket with inked kraft cardstock. I chose to use hemp to connect the basket to the balloon instead of paper, I think it looks a lot better.
I had to postpone sharing this project because I was waiting for my Close to my Heart order to come in which had the alphabet stamp (The brand new, Trinity Alphabet ) that I wanted to use on the Sun canvas. I stamped the words with Stazon brown ink, I was glad they came out looking a little weathered rather than a solid stamped image. I also hand stitched the mouth and eyelashes with brown embroidery thread.
Baby loves to look up at the pictures when getting changed,
a much better view than just a blank wall.

Looking forward to sharing more of the babies room with you....but it may be awhile, I have a long way to go before I deem it finished! You may see more projects along the way!
