Bow holder

The other day I had enough of digging through the bow box to find a matching pair....so I succumbed to the ever popular bow/clip holder. I decided to go from the inspiration of this card holder and used the same font from the canvas I made a couple months ago. I figured that Psalms 139:14 was a fitting scripture.

It has been a lot easier to grab a clip and the holder adds a pop of color to the girls bathroom.
Happy Thursday!

Gifts Received

Now with all my posts about the home made gifts that I made this year I figured I should share some of the home made gifts that we received this year.

My sister made the girls some fun felt play food.

My dad made my sis, mom and myself each an awesome shelving unit.

My mom made all the grandkids Christmas pj's (which S is wearing in the pic, cutie sleepin on the chair).
I was also given that 'K' artwork, made also by my sister.

My sister-in-law made me this sweet tea cup candle as well as a scarf and hat.

And the last one I would like to share is tutu dresses that the girls got which my niece and nephew made for them. (unfortunately I don't have a decent pic of T in her dress)

I thought it was a fantastic idea to do home made Christmas. I certainly enjoyed the challenge of making and the gifts received are ones to be treasured.

Happy Monday!

Stuck on Elvis

One of our local big name stores is going to be getting renovated soon so they have been having some awesome deals lately to get rid of stock. They had all their school supplies on for $0.44 each. With all the uber cute valentine ideas floating around pinterest it was no surprise that I thought I could use something from the sale.

My friend was already using an idea with markers so I figured I would work with the pack of gluesticks which immediately made me think of Elvis Presley's song 'Stuck Like Glue'. So I printed the lyrics on a tag tied it to the glue. Super easy and cheap Valentine's for S's preschool classmates.

Happy Monday!

Many blessings

Kind of took a blog break for a few weeks there. I'm back to share another project that I made for Christmas gifts. I made six of these boards for gifts. Three of which went to chinese gift exchanges, two for specific people and I kept one for myself. On the one side I stamped on the reminder to count your blessings and the other I did a chalkboard count down. So anytime of the year it can be a nice decor piece.

The first pic of the mantel was taken right after I took down the Christmas decorations but now it's been updated for Valentines.

I'm actually thinking about selling these as I have had a few people asking.
Just have to see if the hubby is up for cutting me some more boards.

Happy Saturday!
