Easter Dress

Sorry, I've been neglecting my blog lately. I travelled home to my parents for a week and then I just got back from a weekend at a friends house. It's been a busy March! My husband has been so busy working on our new house that I figured why not get away for a little bit, so I packed up the kid and went!

Anyways back to the kerr-afty end of things:
This is the completed 18-24 month old dress that I made for my daughters Easter dress for this year. The outfit is not quite finished because I will also be making ruffled leggings to go with it ( although she won't need those til later on in the summer, when she is a bit taller, for now it's just a normal dress). I'm happy with how it turned out! There will be more pictures to come of my girlie actually wearing it, you just have to be patient. There is a free tutorial for the dress on the Moda Bakeshop Blog.

On another note:
Both my parents and my husbands parents went on a trip to Hawaii in the last couple of months. I have been fortunate enough to be there twice myself in my high school days. I have a lot of fond memories of the beautiful island of Oahu and hope to get back there someday. The one thing I requested as a souvenir is this heavenly liquid of deliciousness:

From both sets of parents going, I was able to snag 3 bottles! Wahoo!

Seriously though, if you are going to the Hawaiian islands you have got to try this stuff (not necessarily this brand), it is A-mazing!! The memory of this taste has stayed with me for many years.....

A stack of pancakes smothered in coconut syrup and a few pounds heavier, I am a happy lady!
