Thankful that my dessert turned out! ...Among other things...

Hope all you Canadians enjoyed your Thanksgiving weekend! I know I did with a traditional 'loosen the belt' type of meal and also a wedding of a good friend! Spending time with family and friends during the holidays is absolutely priceless! I am so thankful that we have the opportunity to see people from another province so regularly, especially my parents! I was also thinking yesterday how lucky I am not to have to go back to work after my Mat-leave was finished. I am very thankful that I can stay home with my little girl and watch her grow-up, I am also thankful that I have such a great husband that works so hard to provide for us! I count myself very blessed, I could go on and on with my 'thankful' list but I'll move on....
Well this year I was left with the responsibility to bring the dessert for the Thanksgiving meal. Not a huge deal but I was trying out a new recipe so I was "thankful" that it turned out great!! I made a carrot and pumpkin cake with a brown sugar cream cheese icing (some of you might have seen it in the fabulous, Kraft What's Cooking magazine, try it for yourself it is Yummy!...not to mention easy!).

To get in the Halloween spirit a Haunted House Mini Album! It showcases my Halloween's through the years up until the year 2008! It's a great decor item on my mantel (yes my house is already decorated for halloween due to my lack of thanksgiving decor....maybe next year I'll take care of that!) Hope you enjoy!

OH Edward!

Well I bought my first digital stamps EVER! I couldn't possibly pass up the little Dressy Edward Stamp... I got Bella (Dressy Camille) too and an adorable Cupcake Anya. These stamps are from the Greeting Farm! They have a lot of great stamps to chose from, Digital and Rubber! These pics aren't the greatest but I wanted to post them non the less. I had fun coloring them in with the Close to my Heart blending pen and inks (first time trying it, works pretty good!). Anyways I plan on doing a project with the twilight couple very soon, so stay posted!!

Mystery Hostess Night Make and Take

To celebrate the new Close to my Heart Fall/Winter 2010 catalogue I hosted a mystery hostess night at my home earlier in the month. I made tons of food and prepared a make and take which introduced all of the four new paper packs! How I chose to run the "mystery hostess" part was that for every $25 ordered (before taxes and s&h) you were able to enter your name in the hat, meaning the more you spend the better your chances and the better the hostess credits! It was a fun night and the lady who ended up winning was able to get quite a load!

Olivia Paper Pack

My Little Lady Turns One!

I did a ladybug theme for my little girls first birthday! It was so much fun to do! I decorated a small cake as well as many cupcakes. I made the invites, a banner, and decorated photo albums for the kids to take home. I used CTMH product: Tulip cardstock, Colonial white cardstock, Save the Date Stampset, Tiny Type writer stampset, Priceless Love Wordpuzzle stampset, Flourished Blessings Stampset, and Tulip,Topiary,Black Inks.
