You may have guessed from my lack of posts that I've been on summer vacation these last two weeks! We packed up the vehicle and headed to my parents farm in Saskatchewan. It's one full day of travel with kids but it went really well. Husband stayed for the first week and then it was just me and the girlies with Grandma and Grandpa (a.k.a 'mama' and 'papa' to S)for the next full week.
The above picture is me with baby in the snuggly and my dad pulling S in the wagon (mom's behind the camera). We are coming out of the lane to my parents barn yard (In the background is my grandparents yard). Such a beautiful quiet country road that they live on.
Here are some highlights from our trip:
My parents own a cabin at a near by lake and our whole family
was able to spend a few days there.

I was able to go to my sisters for an overnight stay while my mom kept S.
It was a treat to go shopping without a toddler in tow.

It was so much fun to watch S go and grab candy as well
as clap and yell 'yay!' for every float.

Mom put on a little birthday party for the soon-to-be two year old.
...and of course we couldn't go to the farm without a horsie ride.
There's one more major highlight from the trip, I chopped off my hair!
So that's what I've been up to for the last little while. Of course there are many many more pictures and highlights from our two week adventure but the post would be way to long! In other news I did manage to do some crafting while at my parents, I started sewing together a new diaper bag for myself.
Well it's back to the grind for me (particularly laundry and planning a birthday party!). Hope you enjoy the last few weeks of summer!!
